Our Doctors

Dr. Bob McNurlen grew up in the Des Moines area. He is a graduate of Drake University and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he received numerous academic and clinical awards. After completing a general practice residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, he returned to Des Moines to practice.

Dr. Austin Steil, a Cedar Rapids native, earned his undergraduate degree from Loras College and his dental degree from the University of Iowa. Before joining our team, he practiced general and family dentistry in Galveston, Texas, and is now happily readjusting to Iowa winters. Dr. Steil enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and shares a similar patient-focused approach to care as Dr. McNurlen. His skills, professionalism, and friendly personality make him a great fit for our office.
